New Left 4 Dead 2 patch released for Xbox 360

A new Left 4 Dead 2 patch for the Xbox 360 has been released in the early morning of December 22, 2009. It has not yet been confirmed on everything that it has changed, but the most notable of changes is to the scoring system.

Incapacitation bonuses have been removed from Versus scoring completely. Now there is a 25 point tie-breaker bonus awarded to the team with the highest Infected damage in the event of both teams reaching the safe room. There have been mixed reactions, and it is also odd this has come without a formal announcement as it seems most if not all the things that were previously announced have not been addressed with this latest update.

Valve to release DLC “The Passing” for Left 4 Dead 2

This story was found via Kotaku regarding the new DLC for Left 4 Dead 2. This is extremely exciting news to die hard fans of the Left 4 Dead series as this DLC promises to bring Bill, Francis, Zoey and Louis into the world of Left 4 Dead 2.

“The Passing” offers more than just a friendly Survivor get-together, adding one new “uncommon common” infected type, new weapons—one melee, one firearm—and “a new co-operative challenge mode of play.” The new campaign will naturally be playable in Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes in addition to that still unannounced newer mode.

The new episode is “set in a small town in rural Georgia,” according to Valve’s release, keeping players in the role of Left 4 Dead 2’s cast “as they meet with the L4D1 characters.”

I am very intrigued on what this will be and it is set to come out early spring this year. What are your thoughts on what will be included? What do you hope is included?

Dead Center (1) – Charger Instant Kill at the Hall Window

The great thing about Dead Center is that there are so many different places to instant kill your opponents. This once is at the window right before the go upstairs to enter the hall that brings them to the elevator. It is the hall right after the survivors get back inside after going on the balcony to get around the fire.
